Section titled “September 28, 2026”Rental bundles with shared component stock
Section titled “Rental bundles with shared component stock”Starter and Growth merchants can configure a dedicated rental kit from linked individual rental products. Kit bookings use the same physical component stock as individual bookings, so overlapping reservations affect both. The kit has its own rental price, while component quantities determine its available capacity. Staff can record component returns against a bundle booking. Current setup requires one shared stock pool and does not support nested bundles, timed appointments or location-specific component allocations.
Guided storefront test
Section titled “Guided storefront test”The dashboard now offers a product-specific test of the published theme and customer journey. It checks the calendar, quote, cart and order-linked booking as separate steps. The test link expires after one hour; a manual booking or sample-store order does not mark the merchant’s storefront checkout as verified.

Section titled “September 24, 2026”Shopify variant price per rental
Section titled “Shopify variant price per rental”Added an opt-in pricing mode that uses the selected Shopify variant’s current price as the rental amount. It is useful when variants represent different rental price points. Duration, deposits and variant capacity still apply. The mode was verified on a configured merchant product; other pricing modes remain available.
Documentation refresh
Section titled “Documentation refresh”Added practical guides for appointment time slots, rental availability search, Klaviyo rental events and Zoom setup for virtual appointments. The Zoom guide states the connection prerequisites and setup-dependent availability. Updated the FAQ’s calendar answer to reflect existing Google and Outlook integrations.

Section titled “September 17–22, 2026”Timed appointment slots
Section titled “Timed appointment slots”Eligible hourly products can opt in to a scheduled appointment picker with weekly hours, slot spacing, notice, buffers, time zones and product-level capacity. Merchants choose inline or popup presentation. Existing day-based rentals are unaffected; a store must enable appointment mode on each applicable product.

Section titled “Rental availability search”Merchants can enable date-based catalog search, choose which active rental products appear and place a search link or app block in the storefront. Shoppers complete options on the product page and availability is checked again before checkout.

Zoom connection for virtual appointments
Section titled “Zoom connection for virtual appointments”Growth stores with a configured Zoom connection can enable meeting creation on selected confirmed timed appointments. Setup depends on integration credentials and Zoom authorization; it is not enabled for every store. The Zoom guide explains status checks and the boundaries for physical rentals and in-person bookings.

September 16, 2026
Section titled “September 16, 2026”Klaviyo rental events
Section titled “Klaviyo rental events”Growth merchants can connect a private Klaviyo key and use seven rental lifecycle events for tested email or SMS flows. Native Rentshelf reminders remain on until the merchant deliberately replaces a matching message, helping avoid duplicate sends.
Microsoft Outlook Calendar
Section titled “Microsoft Outlook Calendar”Growth merchants can connect Outlook.com or Microsoft 365, choose an editable destination calendar and keep private rental events synchronized from Rentshelf. The integration creates events for upcoming bookings and updates or removes them after booking changes, returns and cancellations. Customer details and invitations remain optional privacy controls.

Booking changes and saved views
Section titled “Booking changes and saved views”The booking detail workflow now checks availability and presents a before-and-after review for changes to dates, quantity, variant, add-ons, delivery and handover times. It records the recalculated price difference separately so staff can track an additional collection or refund without treating the label as payment proof.
The Bookings page can save reusable combinations of status, date, product, location, future-only and search filters.

Rental agreements
Section titled “Rental agreements”Growth merchants can configure product-specific rental terms, require storefront acknowledgement and collect a typed-name signature through the private booking link. Documents use versioned snapshots and retain signed history when a material booking change requires a new agreement.
Rental waitlist
Section titled “Rental waitlist”Growth merchants can enable a waitlist for selected products or all active rental products. Verified customers can request unavailable dates, and Rentshelf can send one controlled invitation when matching product, variant and location capacity opens. Staff can filter requests, add notes, message customers, remove entries and match successful bookings.
Plans and documentation
Section titled “Plans and documentation”Growth plan descriptions now identify Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook Calendar across the app, pricing page, documentation and Shopify App Store listing. The documentation navigation now includes the new connected-app and operational guides.
Balance and booking visibility
Section titled “Balance and booking visibility”The Bookings list more clearly distinguishes upcoming due dates, sent payment links, failed delivery and reconciled paid balances. Amendment adjustments remain separate from the original booking balance until staff records the real payment or refund outcome.

Section titled “September 13, 2026”Google Calendar integration
Section titled “Google Calendar integration”Growth-plan merchants can connect a private destination calendar and synchronize storefront and manual bookings. Booking date changes update the event, cancellations remove it, and an optional product-specific busy calendar can block conflicting availability.
Booking CSV export
Section titled “Booking CSV export”The Bookings page can now export the records in the active status and future-date view. Calendar exports continue to respect the filters applied in the calendar workspace.
Manual booking customer details
Section titled “Manual booking customer details”The manual booking flow now separates first and last names and uses a country-aware phone field. Selecting an existing Shopify customer fills the available contact details into the booking form for review before saving.
Documentation navigation
Section titled “Documentation navigation”The documentation now includes this changelog and a direct Install Rentshelf action. Documentation pages use a text-first layout without product screenshots.
