Rental settings
Per-product rental settings live on the Product detail screen in Rentshelf → Products. Store-level defaults live in Rentshelf → Settings.
Product-level settings
Section titled “Product-level settings”Use product-level settings when a specific rental item needs its own rules.
Common controls include:
- rental duration mode;
- daily, fixed-duration, hourly or variant-duration pricing;
- seasonal pricing rules on Starter and Growth;
- minimum and maximum rental days;
- total rentable units;
- buffer days before or after a booking;
- weekday availability;
- product-specific blackouts;
- delivery and collection options;
- deposits, add-ons and customer inputs.
Store-level defaults
Section titled “Store-level defaults”Use Rentshelf → Settings for defaults that should apply across the store:
- storefront widget copy and colors;
- default rental button behavior;
- reminder email timing;
- support email verification;
- store timezone and operations preferences.
Seasonal pricing
Section titled “Seasonal pricing”Seasonal pricing adjusts rental prices for specific date ranges such as holidays, peak seasons, weekends, school breaks or low-season discounts.
Create seasonal rules on the rental product, save, then test storefront dates inside and outside the rule period.

Rental product buttons
Section titled “Rental product buttons”Rental product buttons can be managed from app Settings or from the Theme Editor widget settings.
Use these controls to rename the rental Add to cart button, show Choose rental dates until valid dates are selected and hide or keep dynamic checkout buttons for linked rental products.
