Bulk product linking

Rentshelf includes bulk product tools for stores that do not want to configure every rental product one by one.

Use these tools when a merchant already has Shopify products or collections for rentals, hire products, seasonal products, bikes, dresses, equipment or event supplies.

Search linked rental products

On Rentshelf → Products, use Search rental products to find already-linked rental products by:

  • product name
  • product handle
  • Shopify product ID

The result count updates so staff can see whether they are viewing the full rental catalog or a filtered list.

Open Link products from the Rental products page.

From the popup you can:

  • search Shopify products by name, handle or product ID;
  • filter products by Shopify collection;
  • select products one by one;
  • select all products in the current filtered result;
  • link products to Rentshelf in controlled batches.

For large catalogs, use smaller batches rather than adding everything in a single action. This keeps the admin page responsive and avoids long-running requests from timing out.

Collection-based workflows

If the merchant has a Shopify collection such as Rentals, Hire bikes, Costumes for rent or Seasonal rentals, filter by that collection in the Link products popup and add only those products to Rentshelf.

After linking, open the Rental products page and use search to confirm the products appear in the rental catalog.

Use the checkboxes in the Rental products table to select multiple rental products and unlink them in one action.

Unlinking removes Rentshelf rental settings from those products. It does not delete the Shopify products, and existing bookings remain available for operational history.
