Rentshelf sends automated emails to your customers at key points in the rental lifecycle.

The “Planned” emails rely on the Reminder job queue (already wired into the data model) — they’ll be enabled once template customization is shipped.

  • Order confirmation email (Shopify) — edit in Shopify admin → Settings → Notifications → Order confirmation. Rental line-item properties (pickup, return, duration) render automatically inside Shopify’s default template.
  • Order cancellation email (Shopify) — same location.
  • Custom email templates per reminder type (pickup, return, overdue).
  • Staff Slack notifications on new bookings.
  • SMS reminders via Twilio.
